Manchester City legend unsettled under Pep Guardiola

Sergio Aguero is growing increasingly unsettled at Manchester City under Pep Guardiola, reports Goal.com.

The Argentina international’s status at City has been under threat since Gabriel Jesus’ arrival at the start of the year and his long-term future under Guardiola will only be questioned further if the Premier League leaders sign Alexis Sanchez.

Guardiola’s side failed to get a £60m deal over the line for the Arsenal star in the summer and have been linked with a cut price deal next month when Sanchez will only have six months left to run on his existing deal.

However, the City head coach is now even willing to wait until the summer to reunite with Sanchez even though his arrival would only increase their chances of success on all four fronts in the second half of the campaign.

Guardiola is anxious that signing Sanchez in January could impact morale in the dressing room, while Aguero reportedly feels his ability to adapt to Guardiola’s demands has gone without sufficient praise.

Despite publicly defending his relationship with Aguero in the past, the 29-year-old is convinced Guardiola is trying to force his way out of the club.

Aguero also feared being sold by Guardiola earlier in the year and it took City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak to patch things up in the summer in order to get the City No.10 back on side.

Only Mohamed Salah (14), Harry Kane (12) and Raheem Sterling (11) have scored more Premier League goals than Aguero (10) this season, while the Argentine is also the fourth highest WhoScored rated player in England’s top tier this term (7.65).
