Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has made Celtic sensation Kieran Tierney a top transfer target this summer, claims The Daily Record.
Tierney has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in the past but Mourinho has finally been won over by the 20-year-old.
The Scotland international penned a new six-year deal with Celtic in October and Brendan Rodgers’ side will hope to command a Scottish transfer record fee.
Mourinho will sign a new left-back in the summer after running out of patience with Luke Shaw and has been impressed by Tierney’s versatility. The youngster is predominately a left-back but has often been deployed on the opposite flank.
Of Celtic players that made at least three appearances during their European campaign this season, Tierney garnered the highest WhoScored rating (6.75).
