Inter pair on Tottenham’s radar

Tottenham will make a move for Inter pair Jeison Murillo and Geoffrey Kondogbia in the summer, according to Italian publication Tuttomercatoweb.

Inter are expected to undergo an upheaval in personnel at the end of the season in a bid to help ease the wage bill and build a squad capable to challenging Juventus for domestic honours.

A number of players, then, could be on the market, with Spurs hoping to lure Murillo and Kondogbia to England.

The north London side need to strengthen at the back, with quality options threadbare beyond regular starters Eric Dier, Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen.

Kevin Wimmer is expected to return to Germany in the summer, while Cameron Carter-Vickers lacks the necessary experience to help the club push on.

24-year-old Murillo may have started 19 league games for Inter this season, but he is set to be shown the San Siro exit, with Spurs ready and willing to bring the Colombian to England.

Kondogbia meanwhile has struggled to settle in at Inter following his big money arrival from Monaco and while the Italian giants would be reluctant to allow the 24-year-old Frenchman to leave, it’s likely they will sell for the price is right.

The midfielder, though, has shown glimpses of his quality where required, with an 88% success rate better than the 51 players to attempt 50 or more dribbles in Serie A this term.
