Derby lose highest rated player to horror injury

George Thorne will miss Derby County’s play-off campaign after suffering a horror double leg break against Ipswich on Saturday.

The 23-year-old was stretchered off late into their home 1-0 defeat against Ipswich and is now expected to be out of action for three months.

Thorne has been instrumental for Derby this season and his absence serves as a massive blow for the Rams and their attempts to get promoted this season.
