Liverpool will not renew the contract of fan favourite and centre-back Kolo Toure, reports ESPN.
The experienced defender is out of contract at the end of the month and, much to the dismay of supporters, will not be handed a new deal.
Toure can now discuss terms with other teams as he looks to secure a new club ahead of the coming season.
The signing of Joel Matip had put the Ivorian's future at Anfield in doubt, though Toure did impress when required of him last season.
Indeed, of players to make at least one start in the Premier League last season, the 35-year-old made an interception more often (every 34.4 minutes) than any other Liverpool teammate.
