Arsenal consider move for Paris Saint-Germain outcast Lucas Moura
Arsenal are the latest Premier League side to emerge as suitors for Paris Saint-Germain outcast Lucas Moura, reports ESPN.
Moura is free to leave PSG this month but the Ligue 1 giants are struggling to find suitors willing to take the Brazilian off their hands on a permanent basis.
The 25-year-old has already been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United and Tottenham but both sides are now pursuing other options.
Arsenal are expected to sign Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this month but Arsene Wenger’s side were also in the running to sign Malcom from Bordeaux.
However, the Gunners are not willing to pay £45m for the 20-year-old and have now stepped back to give Tottenham a clear run at his signature.
That has now opened the door for Arsenal to sign Moura, but they would prefer to sign the out-of-favour PSG winger on an initial loan deal with a view to making the switch permanent at the end of the season.
Moura has already confirmed his desire to leave PSG this month in order to find regular playing time and will not play for the club again until his future is resolved.
The Brazilian has only made five substitute appearances in Ligue 1 this season, but has still completed the most dribbles over the last four league campaigns (264).
