Verratti’s agent rules out PSG departure

The agent of Marco Verratti has hailed the midfielder as ‘indispensable’ to Paris Saint-Germain and ruled out any possible exit in the near future.

Verratti has been heavily linked with a move away from the Ligue 1 giants this season following their disastrous start to the campaign with plenty of clubs from Italy reportedly looking to bring the midfielder back to his homeland.

The 24-year-old has previously insisted his dream was to win the Champions League with PSG and his agent, Donato Di Campli, has reiterated the midfielder’s desire to say, insisting Italian clubs couldn’t afford his signature any time soon.

“Verratti to leave PSG? It is a repetitive question,” he told Radio Crc, via ESPN. “I repeat - it would have to be an offer out of reach for any Italian club. I think he is not for sale.

“Inter? Most big clubs are thinking about him, but the problem is that he is already at a big club and one that does not want to part with its champions.”

Verratti is widely regarded as one of the best technical centre midfielders in the world and with five years remaining on his current deal, PSG are certainly not in any position where they need to make a decision on his future.

Only PSG teammate Thiago Motta (95.7) averages more passes per game in Ligue 1 this season than Verratti (89.6).
