Paris Saint-Germain are on the brink of signing Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon on a two-year deal, reports Sky Italia.
Buffon has played his last game for Juventus and will leave the Serie A giants this summer after 17 years at the club.
It was thought Buffon would retire but the 40-year-old revealed last week he has no intentions of hanging up his gloves just yet.
It emerged soon after that PSG were in pursuit of the former Italy international and now the French giants could even wrap up a deal this week.
Parma wanted Buffon to make a sensational return to the club after securing promotion back to Serie A at the weekend.
However, Buffon’s former club do not have the financial resources to facilitate a blockbuster transfer and now the iconic goalkeeper is expected to join PSG.
Buffon kept 11 clean sheets in 21 league appearances this season, finishing his time in Italy as the league champion in each of the last seven seasons.
