Inter consider £38m swoop for Premier League star

Inter are weighing up a £38m bid for West Ham and Euro 2016 star Dimitri Payet, according to The Daily Mail.

Payet, 29, was one of the signings of the season last term following his £16.5m move from Marseille and the France international has carried his form into Euro 2016 for the national team.

The West Ham ace has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid already since the tournament started but Inter - recently backed by Chinese investors – are pondering a move that would equal the club-record they paid for Christian Vieri in 1999.

Payet is currently the highest rated player at Euro 2016 (8.33) after playing a direct hand in five goals for France (three goals, two assists).  Furthermore, only Kevin De Bruyne (23) has registered more key passes in the tournament than Payet (21).
