Newcastle United have secured the services of Georginio Wijnaldum for a fee of £14.7m.
The Dutchman joins from PSV and becomes the Magpies' first singing of the summer after he agreed personal terms and passed a medical with Newcastle.
The 24-year-old captained PSV to their 22nd Eredivisie title last season, chipping in with 14 goals. Only Memphis Depay (22) and Luuk de Jong (20) netted more in the league of all players for the Dutch champions.
Wijnaldum's WhoScored rating (7.47) was also better than any Newcastle player, so big things are expected of the club's new signing at St. James' Park next term.
Newcastle are also set to confirm the arrival of striker Aleksandar Mitrovic from Anderlecht imminently after he underwent a medical earlier on Friday.
