Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane has rejected Jose Mourinho’s offer of reuniting with him at Manchester United, according to Marca, via 101 Great Goals.
Mourinho signed Varane from Lens during his time at Madrid and previously tried to bring the France international to Chelsea in his second stint at Stamford Bridge.
The 23-year-old has been billed as the future for Madrid and Zinedine Zidane was reportedly key in convincing Varane to resist offers from abroad this summer.
Injuries have limited Varane’s development in recent years but last season he started more games in a single-league campaign than any other season in the last six seasons (23).
