Atletico Madrid are poised to sign PSV Eindhoven full-back Santiago Arias after agreeing a deal to sell Sime Vrsaljko to Inter, reports Gianluca Di Marzio.
Vrsaljko will move to Inter on an initial season-long loan deal and the Serie A giants have an option to make the switch permanent.
Atletico stand to make €24m (£21.4m) on the Croatia international and have already set their sights on signing his replacement.
Arias has been linked with a move to Napoli this summer but now looks destined to join Diego Simeone’s side, ending his five-year affiliation with Dutch outfit PSV.
The 26-year-old started all four of Colombia’s matches at the 2018 World Cup and has been a key player for PSV in the last three seasons.
Arias played a direct hand in nine league goals from right-back last season (three goals, six assists), garnering a solid WhoScored rating of 7.25 in the process.
In fact, only Heerenveen right-back Denzel Dumfries (7) provided more assists than Arias of all defenders in the Eredivisie last season.
