Arsenal eye swap deal for Crystal Palace starlet Wan-Bissaka
Arsenal manager Unai Emery wants to sign Crystal Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka and is willing to hand over one of the club's best prospects to land him, claims The Sun.
Wan-Bissaka has emerged as one of the most sought after English talents in the Premier League this season, with the likes of Manchester City regular linked with a move for his services.
Emery will not have a lot of money to spend in the summer but believes the Gunners can still get a deal over the line for the England Under-21 international.
The Arsenal manager is pondering a part-exchange deal that would see Reiss Nelson or Ainsley Maitland-Niles move in the opposite direction.
With Hector Bellerin on the road to recovery from a serious knee injury, coupled with Stephan Lichtsteiner’s woes this season, Arsenal will need to strengthen at right-back this summer.
Nelson is currently on loan at German side Hoffenheim but has dropped down the pecking order after making a bright start to the season.
Maitland-Niles has developed into a dependable wide player under Emery but the Arsenal manager could be willing to sacrifice the youngster to land Wan-Bissaka.
The 21-year-old is Palace’s highest WhoScored rated player in the Premier League this season (7.25) and has remarkably been dribbled past just seven times.
