West Ham manager Slaven Bilic insists the club will not turn their back on Andy Carroll despite his constant injury problems.
Carroll has missed West Ham’s last four matches with a groin injury and is a doubt for their last game of the season away to Burnley, but Bilic says the problem is nothing serious.
The Hammers will need to sign a reliable striker in the summer if they are to help put this season’s woes behind them but Bilic insists the 28-year-old will always be part of the club’s first-team plans.
“It is not a subject for now, but Andy is kind of a player that has such a big impact on our game that we won’t give up on him,” the London Evening Standard quote Bilic as saying.
“Especially now, as this has nothing to do with lifestyle or not being committed enough. He works really hard, it was bad luck and, as I said, I will never give up on him.

Only Michail Antonio (9) and Manuel Lanzini (8) have scored more Premier League goals for West Ham this season than Carroll (7), but he has only started 15 league games this season.
In fact, he hasn’t started more since his first campaign at the club when he only managed to start 22 league matches, returning with seven goals.

This should really read as What can we do with Carroll as No One had shown any interest in him, we would not be able to give him away, £85,000 a week for a total crock, when he is fit, not a modern day striker who will deliver 15-20 goals a season, far too slow these days, complete waste of space!
