Juventus have won race to sign Patrik Schick, claims Inter

Inter technical director Walter Sabatini claims Juventus have agreed terms with Sampdoria rising star Patrik Schick.

The Sampdoria striker has been a revelation in Serie A this season and Inter were keen to secure his services ahead of their main rivals.

However, Sabatini, who is in charge of Inter’s business strategies, has revealed Juventus have already won the race to land the Czech Republic international.

“I think he’s already been signed by Juventus,” he told Corriere dello Sport when asked whether Schick was a transfer target for Inter this summer.

Sampdoria only signed the 21-year-old from Sparta Prague last summer but his impressive displays offer a career of huge promise.

Juventus have not made any deal to sign the forward official and Sampdoria would likely hope to arrange a similar deal to the one that Atalanta agreed for the sale of Mattia Caldara.

The Serie A champions signed Caldara in January but have loaned the Italy international back to Atalanta until the end of next season and a similar deal would not only help Schick’s continued development, but allow Sampdoria to keep one of their best players.

Of players aged 21 and under in Serie A this season only Giovanni Simeone (12) scored more goals than Schick (11).
