Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has agreed a four-year deal to succeed Guus Hiddink as the next Chelsea manager at the end of the season, according to Italy publication CalcioMercato.
Allegri, 48, has spent the last two years as Juventus head coach but has reportedly now agreed to the terms proposed by Roman Abramovich to become Chelsea’s next long-term manager.
Chelsea are currently unbeaten since Guus Hiddink took over interim control of the club, but they are unlikely to be without Champions League football next season unless they can miraculously overhaul the current 16-point deficit.
Should Allegri come in, he will be tasked with turning Chelsea back into the solid outfit they once where. In fact, Chelsea have already conceded more goals this season (34) than they did across the whole of last season (32) when they won the league by eight points.
