Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua have completed the signing of Demba Ba from Besiktas for £9m.
Besiktas have incredibly almost doubled their investment on Ba, having only bought him from Chelsea for £4.7m a year ago.
Only Bursaspor striker Fernandão (22 goals and seven assists) had a more telling contribution than Ba (17 goals and five goals) in the Turkish Super Lig last season.
Shenhua are currently six places off the bottom at the halfway point in the Chinese Super Liga and already boast former Everton forward Tim Cahill and ex-Levante midfielder Mohamed Sissoko in their squad.
