Norwich have announced the £8.5m signing of Steven Naismith from Everton.
Naismith, 29, is Alex Neil’s fifth signing of the January window already and has put pen to paper on a three-and-a-half year deal.
The Scotland international appeared to have a bright year ahead of him for Everton after netting a hat-trick against Chelsea in September, but he has barely featured since.
“I’m very happy to have signed because now I can concentrate on the football side of things,” Naismith told Norwich’s official website.
“Norwich have displayed class in the way they’ve done their business all the way through. They’ve shown how much they wanted me, which is great, and I’m delighted to be here.”
Naismith is likely to be short of full-match fitness having failed to start a league game since October last year. He has, however, scored at least five goals in each of his last two top-flight campaign, which could be crucial for Norwich’s survival hopes.
