Juventus want Verratti, says agent

The agent of Marco Verratti has revealed the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder is wanted by Europe’s biggest clubs, including Juventus.

Verratti, 23, only signed a new contract extension with the Ligue 1 champions in August and is determined to win the Champions League with them.

However, the Italy international’s agent has confirmed that Verratti isn’t satisfied with just winning Ligue 1 titles and that could lead to a move away from PSG in order to increase his chances of winning bigger competitions.

“Marco is priceless. If you go to Paris with €100m (£90.1m), they certainly don’t need that money,” Donato Di Campli told Tuttosport, via ESPN. “I already told you they wouldn’t sell Blaise Matuidi and they didn’t. I said the same about Edinson Cavani and Verratti.

“However, Marco is very happy in Paris, but he wants to win something more important than the French League title. For example, the Champions League or even another league that is more prestigious than the French one.

“Marco has settled in perfectly, but at the same time he cannot do without winning the Champions League. If he were to leave, it’d require guarantees on the squad and ambitions. I think it’s no secret that Juventus are interested in Verratti, as are the biggest European clubs.”

In the last four Ligue 1 seasons only Thiago Motta (88.5) averages more passes per game than Verratti (84.5).
