Tottenham are tracking Utrecht striker Sebastien Haller as Mauricio Pochettino steps up his summer search for a new frontman to ease the burden on Harry Kane, reports the London Evening Standard.
Pochettino failed to add another out-and-out striker in January to help their title challenge, but with Champions League football now expected for next season he will need to add depth up front.
Spurs have already been linked with the likes of Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi and they have a long-standing interest in West Brom's Saido Berahino, but they have now averted their attention to 21-year-old Haller.
The Utrecht frontman is enjoying his most prolific season to date and his performances in front of goal have blasted the Dutch side up to fifth in the Eredivisie and seemingly caught the eye of Pochettino.
Only two players have scored more league goals in the Dutch top-flight this season than the France Under-21 international (16) and only Christian Santos (5.8) of NEC Nijmegen is winning more aerial duels per game than Haller (5.6).
