Manchester United and Manchester City will battle for Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos next summer, according to Spanish TV show El Chiringuito, via Manchester Evening News.
Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola’s rivalry has usually been on the pitch but the two managers are now set to go to war off it after identifying Kroos as a key component to their plans going forward.
Kroos, 26, has ben linked with a move to both United and City in the past and is set to become subject to strong interest from the Premier League duo at the end of the season, according to reports from Spain.
In the last three La Liga seasons Kroos has completed more accurate passes than any other player (4845).
