Batshuayi demanding monster contract to move to Spurs

Michy Batshuayi will demand a £100,000-a-week contract to move to Tottenham this summer, reports the Daily Mirror.

Spurs lead the race to secure the services of the Belgian striker, who is currently with the national team ahead of their Euro 2016 meeting with Italy on Monday.

Marseille need to raise €40m before the end of the month in order to meet financial fair play regulations and hope the sale of Batshuayi will cover most, if not all, of the cost.

Tottenham are hoping to sign at least one striker this summer in order to ease the burden on frontman Harry Kane, with Vincent Janssen also on the club's radar.

However, following Spurs' return to the Champions League, manager Mauricio Pochettino feels the club needs both Janssen and Batshuayi in order to improve their chances of success next season.

Batshuayi netted 17 goals for Marseille in Ligue 1 last season, the fourth best return in France's top tier.
