Barcelona will make a move for Chelsea wing-back Marcos Alonso this summer, reports Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo.
Alonso only moved to the Blues last August and was a deadline day arrival from Fiorentina and after struggling for game time, played a key role in Chelsea’s title win.
Antonio Conte’s side wrapped up the title with a 1-0 win at West Brom on Friday night, with Alonso excelling for the Blues this season as six goals and three assists helped return a WhoScored rating of 7.41.
His form has attracted Barcelona, who are looking to lure Alonso back to Spain at the end of the season.
The La Liga giants are supposedly in the market to strengthen at left-back, with Jordi Alba and Lucas Digne both flattering to deceive at Camp Nou this season.
Chelsea are unlikely to entertain offers for Alonso after the 26-year-old played a vital role at left wing-back for Conte’s team this term.
However, that’s unlikely to deter Barcelona from following up their interest in the former Spain U19 international.
