Pogba is not happy at Manchester United, says France boss

France boss Didier Deschamps does not think Paul Pogba is happy with his current situation at Manchester United.

Pogba has endured a turbulent few months at United and his relationship with manager Jose Mourinho appears to be strained.

The France international’s form has dipped significantly when he has played and now there are doubts about his long-term future at United.

The international break should provide Pogba with the opportunity to rediscover his best form, but Deschamps has only added to the fire with his latest comments.

“This is a situation that he must not appreciate because of everything he would have been able to offer,” Deschamps told L’Equipe, via The Independent.

“There must be numerous reasons. He cannot be happy with what he is going through with his club.

“It’s not specific to Paul. It can happen elsewhere that a player is a bit down or is going through a particular situation with his club.

“That could be Paul now, or others at other times, and I will do as I always do and talk to that player to understand better, because I don’t have all the information.”

Pogba is not happy at Manchester United, says France boss

Pogba has only started three of United’s last nine matches in all competitions and was alarmingly only named on the bench for crucial matches against Sevilla and Brighton in the last week.

Nevertheless, only Kevin De Bruyne (14) and Leroy Sane (11) have registered more Premier League assists than Pogba (9) this season.
