Chelsea players are concerned Antonio Conte’s negative tactics will convinced Eden Hazard to leave, claims The Daily Telegraph.
Hazard was critical of the way Conte set Chelsea up to play against Manchester City on Sunday, even claiming he would not have touched the ball had they played for three hours.
The defending Premier League champions are desperate to secure Hazard’s long-term future before the end of the season with Real Madrid circling for his signature.
Conte’s side are on course to finish outside of the top-four this season and now Chelsea players are worried the current style of football will force Hazard out of the club.
Even though Conte is expected to leave Chelsea in the summer, there is a concern that the damage may already be done by that point and the 27-year-old will seek a new challenge.
Hazard has scored 11 goals and provided three assists in 25 Premier League appearances this season, garnering the third highest WhoScored rating (7.77) in the division.
Only Harry Kane has been awarded the WhoScored Man of the Match as many times as Hazard (both 8) in the Premier League this term, while no player has completed more dribbles than the Chelsea star (120).
