Arsenal hope the expected arrivals of Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will convince Mesut Ozil to sign a new contract, claims the London Evening Standard.
Ozil has entered the final six months of his existing Arsenal deal and is currently on course to leave the club for nothing as Arsene Wenger has already ruled out his departure this month.
Arsenal conceded defeat in their attempts to convince Alexis Sanchez to stay but have not given up hope with Ozil and hope the ambition shown by the club this month will turn his head back in their favour.
The Gunners are on course to sign Mkhitaryan from Manchester United on Tuesday and delegates from the club have flown to Dortmund in order to close a deal for Aubameyang.
Ozil, 29, has spent the last five years at Arsenal and established himself as one of the best creative midfielders in the Premier League in that time.
In fact, since swapping Real Madrid for Arsenal, the Germany international has provided at least four more assists than any other Premier League player (48).
