Stoke City are set to offer Peter Crouch a new deal that will extend his stay beyond the end of the current season, reports The Daily Telegraph.
Crouch, 35, has entered the final six months of his existing deal and Stoke are expected to offer the former England international fresh terms despite the fact they have an option in his current contract to extend his stay but a further 12 months.
The veteran striker has largely been used as a substitute under Mark Hughes although he has returned to some sort of goalscoring form since starting each of their last three matches.
Two goals in his last two appearances has put Crouch on the cusp of joining the 100 club in Premier League history, in which he would be the 17th Englishman to break the 100 goal barrier should he score two more goals.
