Stoke sign Paris Saint-Germain outcast

Stoke have announced they have sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Jese on a season-long loan deal.

Jese only joined the Ligue 1 giants last summer but has endured a disastrous time in Paris and was even loaned back to Spain for the second half of last season.

The former Real Madrid winger has now completed another loan switch away from PSG to join Stoke, although the Potters do not have the option to make the deal permanent.

“Jese was a man in demand when PSG made it clear they would allow him to leave on loan and we’re delighted he has chosen to join us,” Stoke’s chief executive, Tony Scholes, told the club’s official website.

“He hasn’t had the happiest of periods in his career in Paris but he’s still only a young man and is hungry to make a big impression in the Premier League.

“His pedigree speaks for itself and he will most certainly add to the firepower at our disposal.”

The 24-year-old endured a mixed spell on loan at Las Palmas where he only managed to score three goals and register one assist in 14 league matches for the Spanish side.

In fact, Las Palmas only won two of the 13 matches he started in La Liga (15.4% win ratio), compared to a win rate of more than double that in the 25 matches he did not start (32%).
