Manchester United are set to rekindle their interest in Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez, according to the Daily Mail.
Saul was previously on United’s radar and has also been watched by their Premier League rivals Arsenal and Liverpool in the past.
Atletico manager Diego Simone has no intention of letting the highly rated midfielder leave the Vicente Calderon, who is believed to have a £19.5m buy-out clause in his contract.
Saul is also content with life in Madrid and has flourished since coming into the team for the injured Tiago over the last month.
According to reports, United have been watching the versatile midfielder since he was 18 and could open up discussions with a £15m offer, although they could wait until the summer to see if any potential Diego Simeone departure could change his situation.
The 21-year-old has averaged a tackle more frequently than any other Atletico player to start at least one league game this season (21 mins).
