Juventus will rekindle their interest in Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi in January, according to Tuttosport, via Football Italia.
The reigning Serie A champions failed in their attempts to sign Matuidi in the summer after PSG blocked the move but the midfielder’s poor relationship with manager Unai Emery has given Juventus hope in their pursuit.
Juventus’ attempts to sign a midfielder to replace Paul Pogba were unsuccessful after a deal to sign Axel Witsel collapsed in the final minutes of deadline day but they could move for Matuidi once more if his relationship with Emery continues to deteriorate.
In the last seven Ligue 1 campaigns only Maxime Gonalons (698) has made more tackles than Matuidi (563).
