Alex Sandro agrees new Juventus deal

Former Manchester United target Alex Sandro has agreed terms to a new long-term Juventus deal, claims Gianluca Di Marzio.

Sandro’s current deal is due to expire in the summer of 2020 and the Brazil international has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in the last 12 months.

Chelsea were the first Premier League side interested in signing the 27-year-old before United more recently entered the race for his signature after it emerged the left-back was unhappy in Italy.

However, both sides have since found solutions, with Chelsea signing Emerson from Roma and Luke Shaw turning his United future around dramatically.

Juventus have now pressed ahead with contract talks and rewarded Sandro with improved terms until 2023.

Despite question marks over Sandro’s future at the start of the season, the Brazilian has been immense for Juventus.

Sandro has won three WhoScored Man of the Match awards across 18 appearances in league and European competition thus far.

Not only that, but the Juventus ace currently occupies a place in the WhoScored Team of the Season in Serie A (7.26).
