Yaya Toure’s agent has revealed they are in talks with other clubs as a summer move away from Manchester City gathers momentum.
The Ivorian midfielder has been heavily linked with a move away from City since Pep Guardiola was confirmed as Manuel Pellegrini’s successor at the end of the season.
Toure, who will be 33 in May, has been at the heart of all of City’s success since joining from Barcelona – where Guardiola let him go - in 2010 but his languid performances have come in for criticism this season.
As a result, Toure has been linked with a variety of Italian clubs, including Inter and Juventus, and his agent has revealed they are in talks with other clubs regarding a summer move.
“From this moment we start to discuss with different clubs about Yaya going there in the summer,” Dimitri Seluk told The Sun, via Football Italia.
“City don’t do anything concrete. Yaya has given everything for the club and we don’t feel the situation is the right way to show how much they appreciate him.”
Toure’s contribution has tanked since the 2013/14 season where he finished with 20 goals and nine assists in the Premier League. In fact, in the resulting 55 league matches he has only managed to play a direct part in 22 league goals (16 goals, six assists).
