Fiorentina set for €15m deal for Borussia Dortmund youngster

Fiorentina are set to stem the flow of outgoings by signing Borussia Dortmund starlet Emre Mor in a deal worth €15m (£13.4m), reports Swedish website Expressen, via Football Italia.

The Turkey international only joined Dortmund from Danish side FC Nordsjælland 12 months ago but he struggled to make any impression under Thomas Tuchel last season.

Mor was left out of Dortmund’s squad for Tuesday’s 1-0 friendly defeat to Italian side Atalanta and the club’s sporting director, Michael Zorc, refused to comment on his future after the game.

However, there are solid reports claiming Fiorentina are on the verge of completing a deal for the 20-year-old, which will be €13m (£11.6m) up front and a further €2m (£1.8m) in bonuses.

Fiorentina have already sold a number of key players this summer and Mor’s potential arrival is planned to stem the flow of those leaving.

Mor only made 12 appearances in the league last season, limited to just five starts. However, he made more successful dribbles per 90 (5.3) than any other player to make at least 10 Bundesliga appearances last season.
