Manchester United are interested in signing Arsenal versatile midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, according to ESPN.
Oxlade-Chamberlain, who is due to return from injury next week, has been linked with a host of Arsenal’s rivals with his future almost set to be away from the Emirates at the end of the season.
The England international has endured a frustrating campaign, which had been billed as one of great promise for the 22-year-old. Form and fitness has seen the youngster struggle to make an impact at Arsenal so far this season.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has even dropped below teenager Alex Iwobi in the pecking order, alerting the attentions of Chelsea and West Ham. However, the Arsenal No.15 has already said he would never join another London team if he was to leave the Gunners.
That has left Liverpool and Manchester City favourites to sign the midfielder in the summer, but they could now face competition from United.
Of players to have made at least 20 appearances since the start of last season, Oxlade-Chamberlain is requiring fewer minutes per successful dribble than any other player in the Premier League (20.3 mins).
