- Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers named three changes to the Celts side that left it late to win 2-1 at Easter Road against Hibernian in their last league match, before progressing in the Scottish Cup thanks to a 2-0 win over St Mirren in Paisley.
- Alistair Johnston was substituted through injury in Edinburgh, so Anthony Ralston took the Canadian's spot at right-back. Alexandro Bernabei, Liam Scales and Stephen Welsh made up the rest of the Hoops' defence.
- Luis Palma replaced Nicolas Kühn to start on the left-hand side of midfield. Paulo Bernardo moved to the bench as Kyogo Furuhashi, who opened the scoring against Saints on Sunday, supported Adam Idah who was the matchwinner against Hibs.
- Kilmarnock manager Derek McInnes named six changes to the Killie team that left it late against Livingston with a 1-0 win at Rugby Park, before they advanced into the Scottish Cup quarter-final thanks to a 2-0 victory over Cove Rangers.
- Corrie Ndaba replaced Joe Wright in the Killie back three, joining Stuart Findlay and Lewis Mayo. Liam Donnelly and Greg Stewart dropped out of midfield, as Rory McKenzie and Liam Polworth were handed a start against the League One outfit.
