- Dundee manager Tony Docherty handed Scottish Premiership debuts to three summer signings and a youth academy graduate in a thrilling 2-2 Dundee derby draw at Tannadice to kick off the season at the home of arch rivals Dundee United.
- Young centre-back Luke Graham made his league debut for the Dee, accompanying Jordan McGhee and Antonio Portales in the back three. Wing-back duo Ethan Ingram - signed from West Brom - and QPR loanee Ziyad Larkeche made their first Dee starts.
- A familiar midfield trio of Luke McCowan, Mo Sylla and Lyall Cameron started in midfield. Simon Murray made his second league debut for Dundee away to his former club and his new strike partner Seb Palmer-Houlden netted the first equaliser.
