- Kimarnock boss Derek McInnes named three changes from the Killie team that was battered 4-0 in their opening Scottish Premiership fixture away to Celtic at Parkhead, before their 2-2 draw with Norwegian side Tromsø in midweek.
- Joe Wright replaced Oliver Bainbridge to accompany Stuart Findlay and Lewis Mayo in the back three. David Watson made way as Liam Donnelly, Liam Polworth and Brad Lyons to continue in the middle of the park.
- Danny Armstrong took Fraser Murray's place on the right hand side, as Matty Kennedy kept his spot on the left. Bruce Anderson came in to partner Kyle Vassell, who gave Killie an early lead in their Europa Conference qualifying first leg, in attack.
- St Johnstone boss Craig Levein handed Scottish Premiership debuts to six of Saints' summer signings as they kicked off their campaign with a 2-1 defeat to Aberdeen at McDiarmid Park on Monday night's sole league fixture.
- Josh Rae started between the sticks. A largely new back four of debutants André Raymond, Kyle Cameron and Lewis Neilson joined Sam McClelland. Aaron Essel made his first league start for Saints on the left flank, with Drey Wright on the right.
- Matt Smith and Cammy MacPherson were chosen in the middle of the park. Benjamin Kimpioka and Adama Sidibeh lead the line for Saints against Aberdeen on Monday night.
