- Hibernian manager David Gray handed Scottish Premiership debuts to three summer signings, goalkeeper Josef Bursik and centre-back duo Warren O'Hora and Marvin Ekpiteta, as the Hibees were thumped 3-0 in Paisley by St Mirren.
- Jordan Obita started at left-back, with Lewis Miller at right-back last Sunday against Saints. Club captain Joe Newell and Nathan Moriah-Welsh sat in front of the Hibs back four.

- Nicolas Kühn, who netted Celtic's third goal against Killie, supported Kyogo Furuhashi alongside Celts stalwart James Forrest in attack. Daizen Maeda missed the opening game of the season due to a bruised knee.
