- Hearts boss Neil Critchley named five changes after the Jambos were beaten in Belgium by Cercle Brugge 2-0 in their Europa Conference League match, before they rescued a point against Aberdeen at Tynecastle last Sunday.
- Craig Gordon continued in goal behind a back four of Daniel Oyegoke (who replaced Adam Forrester at right-back), Kye Rowles, Frankie Kent and Stephen Kingsley (in for the suspended James Penrice) who both limped off injured.
- Malachi Boateng made way for Beni Baningime to partner Cammy Devlin continued in midfield. Yan Dhanda and Kenneth Vargas dropped out for Blair Spittal to join Alan Forrest and Lawrence Shankland in support of Musa Drammeh, who has contributed towards the Jambos' last two goals.
- Dundee manager Tony Docherty made two changes from the Dee team that played out a 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock at Rugby Park at the weekend, before they got back to winning ways with an emphatic 4-1 victory over Motherwell at Dens.
- Jon McCracken kept his place in goal, behind an unchanged back three of Billy Koumetio, Antonio Portales and Ryan Astley. Josh Mulligan continued at right wing-back with Scott Tiffoney replacing Fin Robertson at left wing-back.
- Mo Sylla, Lyall Cameron and Jordan McGhee remained in the middle of the park with Simon Murray leading the line. He was joined by Oluwaseun Adewumi, who took Seb Palmer-Houlden's place in attack.
