Team News

Dundee United
Kilmarnock
  • Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin named just one change to the Terrors team that picked up a point at Ibrox in a 1-1 draw against Rangers, before they beat St Mirren for the third time this season with a 2-0 win at Tannadice last weekend.
  • Jack Walton continued in goal behind a back three of Kevin Holt, Declan Gallagher and Emmanuel Adegboyega who has scored two goals in as many games against the Buddies. Will Ferry continued at left wing-back and Ryan Strain at right wing-back.
  • David Babunski and Vicko Sevelj were given the nod in the middle of the park once more. Glenn Middleton and Luca Stephenson supported lone striker Sam Dalby, with Kai Fotheringham sat amongst the substitutes against St Mirren.
  • Kilmarnock boss Derek McInnes named three changes to the Killie team that salvaged a 1-1 draw with Dundee at Rugby Park on Saturday afternoon, before they were mauled in midweek 6-0 by Rangers at Ibrox.
  • Robby McCrorie continued in goal behind Lewis Mayo, Joe Wright and Robbie Deas. Corrie Ndaba and Brad Lyons were chosen in the middle of the park once again, joined by David Watson as opposed to Fraser Murray.
  • Two changes came in the wide areas as Oliver Bainbridge and Danny Armstrong took Gary Mackay-Steven and Bruce Anderson's places. Marley Watkins, who netted the winner in their previous meeting, partnered Kyle Vassell up front.

Prediction

  • Fourth place in the Scottish Premiership hosts the team that are third bottom, as Dundee United and Kilmarnock go toe-to-toe at Tannadice this weekend.
  • Dundee United picked up back-to-back Scottish Premiership victories over St Mirren for the first time since November 2014, where the Terrors won three in a row, as they have shut out Saints in all three meetings in both the league and Scottish League Cup this season. Having left it late to pick up a point against Kilmarnock in Ayrshire, they'll hope to right those wrongs against Killie here.
  • Kilmarnock head up to Tannadice having been humiliated by a ruthless Rangers at Ibrox in their midweek match, with Killie missing the chance to win back-to-back meetings against the Gers for the first time since March 2018. It's the first time that the visitors have lost three league games in a row since November 2023, and they'll hope to depart Dundee without making that four on the trot.
  • Killie have scored just once in four matches and, off the back of a big beating in midweek, United - who are unbeaten in four - should make it five against Kilmarnock this weekend.
