Manchester United plot double Atletico swoop

Manchester United are planning a double summer raid on La Liga giants Atletico Madrid, reports the Daily Star on Sunday.

The Premier League giants are keen on swoop for Atletico’s two star men Antoine Griezmann and Jan Oblak in a bid to strengthen the squad.

United have been heavily linked with a bog money move for Griezmann at the end of the season, with the France international tipped to become the first £100m player.

Oblak, meanwhile, has established himself one of the finest goalkeepers in the world with a string of stunning showings for Atletico, both in La Liga and the Champions League.

United will now explore the possibility to snaring both at the end of the season, even if Griezmann is keen on remaining in Madrid.

The 26-year-old has 15 league goals to his name this term, with Chelsea and Manchester City also keen on the striker.

Oblak, however, would only be signed if David De Gea departs Old Trafford, as has been rumoured.

The Spain international is a summer target once more for Real Madrid, and United would look to move for Oblak as a possible replacement if De Gea returns to the Spanish capital.
