Everton keen on out of favour United man

Everton are set to move for out of favour Manchester United winger Memphis Depay after Ronald Koeman confirmed his interest in his compatriot.

Memphis has registered just 20 minutes of Premier League action this season and is set to depart Old Trafford in the New Year, with AC Milan also interested in the youngster.

When asked if Koeman would be interested in signing Memphis, though, the Dutchman told Sky Sports via De Tafel van Kees: "I would like to have him.

"I think he is an interesting player. He has great individual qualities. He just needs to play games."

Memphis’ contract at United currently runs until 2019 following his £25m arrival from PSV Eindhoven in 2015, though the 22-year-old is still highly thought of across the continent having impressed in the Netherlands prior to his switch to England.

United boss Jose Mourinho is widely expected to allow the young wideman to leave in January, with Goodison Park a possible destination for Memphis.
