Manchester United weigh up January move for son of Barcelona legend

Manchester United are considering a January move for Ajax starlet Justin Kluivert, reports Yahoo Sport.

Jose Mourinho wants to bolster his offensive options next month and has already earmarked Thomas Lemar, Malcom and Christian Pulisic as potential signings.

Funds will be made available for the United manager and now he has added the son of former Barcelona striker Patrick Kluivert to his wishlist.

The 18-year-old has enjoyed a stunning breakthrough year for Ajax and has already been tipped to have a huge future in the game.

Kluivert’s current deal is due to expire in 2019 and Ajax may struggle to convince the teenager to extend his stay as some of the biggest clubs in Europe start to circle.

Mourinho is particularly keen to strengthen the right hand side of his attack where he has struggled to find someone that can hold down that position.

Kluivert has split his time playing on the left and the right of attack for Ajax this season but his best performances have come from the left, which may concern Mourinho.

The Netherlands international has scored or assisted five goals in 10 league starts this term and all have come from a position on the left of attack.
