Alexis Sanchez to make Manchester United debut on Friday

Jose Mourinho has confirmed new Manchester United signing Alexis Sanchez will be part of the travelling squad for Friday’s FA Cup fourth round tie against Yeovil.

Sanchez completed his move from Arsenal on Monday after a long-drawn out saga and is expected to make his debut either from the start of the bench against League Two side Yeovil.

The Chile international hasn’t played since January 10 but Mourinho has hailed the 29-year-old as one of the best attackers in the world as he looks set to unleash his new No.7 in the FA Cup fourth round.

“We got one of the best attacking players in the world and he’s very important for us because we want the best possible players,” Goal quote Mourinho as saying on Friday when quizzed on Sanchez’s involvement at Yeovil. “We go [to Yeovil] with a very strong team.”

Sanchez has lifted the FA Cup twice since moving to England in 2014, scoring eight goals in 14 appearances in the competition during that period.
