Everton eye January move for United outcast

Everton are weighing up a January move for Manchester United outcast Memphis Depay, according to The Daily Mail.

Memphis, 23, has failed to make any impression since making a £25m from Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven in 2015 and is reportedly one of eight players Jose Mourinho will look to axe in the future.

The Netherlands international has been left out of the last few United squads and Everton are contemplating whether to take advantage of the situation with a loan move when the transfer window reopens in January.

Everton will reportedly back Koeman with money to invest in January following their 5-0 crushing defeat to Chelsea before the international break, with Memphis among the potential targets.

Of players to have started at least 10 Premier League matches in the last two campaigns, only Kelechi Iheanacho (every 19.6 mins) is dispossessed more frequently than Memphis (every 21 mins).
