Arsenal put £13m price tag on wantaway forward

Arsenal are willing to take a £4m hit on Lucas Perez just 9 months since the Spanish forward's arrival after putting a £13m price tag on his head this summer, reports The Independent.

Arsene Wenger’s side hi-jacked Everton’s deal for Perez last year when they triggered the £17.3m release clause in his Deportivo La Coruna deal, but the forward has failed to make any impression since his arrival.

Perez, who barely featured for Arsenal last season, has already been vocal in his desire to leave the club in search of regular first-team football and now the Gunners are willing to listen to offers for the Spaniard.

The 28-year-old is keen on returning to his homeland this summer and Arsenal have quoted any Spanish side interested to pay £13m for his services. Perez made 11 appearances in the Premier League last season and only two of those came as a starter.

In the Champions League he was limited to just 136 minutes of action but still managed to score three goals and register two assists in that time, but with Wenger set to strengthen in attack over the coming months, his days are numbered at the Emirates.
