West Ham after Newcastle captain

West Ham have made an approach for Newcastle United captain Moussa Sissoko, according to L’Equipe, via Get French Football.

Sissoko, 27, reportedly has no intention of staying at relegated Newcastle and wants to return to the Premier League but will wait until after Euro 2016 to sort his future.

The France international has regularly been linked with a move away from St. James’ Park and his stint in the north east has always been thought to be a short term one.

Following Newcastle’s relegation to the Championship, West Ham have reportedly already made an approach as they look to pip any potential admirers of the dynamic midfielder.
