Manchester United outcast wants Fenerbahce move

Marcos Rojo want Manchester United to sanction a loan move to Turkish giants Fenerbahce, claims The Times.

Rojo has fallen completely out of favour under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and wants to leave before the transfer windows in Europe shut at the start of September.

United now have seven senior centre-backs at the club following Harry Maguire’s £80m arrival from Leicester over the summer.

Solskjaer wants to trim his squad and will allow Rojo to leave, though the club would prefer a permanent deal.

United blocked Rojo’s departure to Everton on deadline day in England, as the Toffees proposed a loan deal.

However, Rojo is desperate to leave Old Trafford this month and hopes the Red Devils will allow an initial loan deal to Fenerbahce.

Rojo has spent the last five years at United and still has two years left to run on his current deal after penning an extension in 2018.

The 29-year-old has only ever been a bit-part player at United and has often struggled to stay injury-free.

Rojo has only ever started at least 20 league matches in a single campaign on one occasion for United and that came in his maiden season for the club.

The Argentina international only made two league starts last season and three substitute appearances.
