Agent of Manchester United target denies talks with Premier League side

The agent of Bayern Munich midfielder and Manchester United target Corentin Tolisso has denied that talks over a possible move to England have taken place.

The Frenchman has been heavily linked with a move away from the German side this summer having endured a torrid time in Bavaria.

Indeed, Tolisso has endured a series of injury problems with the Bundesliga side and has been anything but a guaranteed starter when available for selection.

Reports this week suggested United had made contact with Bayern over a possible £31m transfer for the Frenchman.

However, Tolisso's agent, Eric Castagnino, told Sky in Germany via The Standard: "I am not having any discussions with Manchester United. Corentin is currently injured and his return to the field is an absolute priority."

Tolisso hasn't featured for Bayern since a 1-0 DFB-Pokal win over Schalke back in March, owing to the break in football due to the Coronavirus pandemic and injury.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still pondering a move for another central midfielder this summer, and the club have been linked with a move for Donny van de Beek.
