Arsenal set for talks with Manchester United target

Arsenal have identified Bordeaux starlet Malcom as a potential replacement for Alexis Sanchez, claims Sky Italia, via Get French Football.

Sanchez is widely expected to join Manchester City this month and Arsenal will need to bring in a replacement this month.

The Gunners may return for Monaco winger Thomas Lemar but after being snubbed by the Frenchman in the summer, Arsene Wenger may consider alternatives.

Malcom has enjoyed a scintillating campaign for Bordeaux so far this season and that has put him firmly on the radar of Manchester United.

Jose Mourinho’s side are yet to make an approach for the €50m-rated (£44.3m) 20-year-old and may miss out on his signature if Arsenal firm up their own interest.

The Gunners are reportedly scheduled to meet with Malcom’s representatives as they sound out a move for the talented Brazilian winger.

Malcom has scored seven goals and registered four assists in 18 Ligue 1 appearances so far this season.

Moreover, only Lyon striker Mariano and Juventus star Paulo Dybala (both five) have scored more goals from outside the box than Malcom in Europe’s top five leagues (4).
